At Southport bereavement counselling service I don't honestly have the answers to the questions that so many of us ask, concerning life and about death. But what I do believe in is that when taking a decision to ask for help with your bereavement and grief, maybe this could be the first step in the right direction.
Only you will know when and if that time is right. Don't be pushed or pressured into it. Bereavement counselling is really personal and the experience can be both harsh and difficult at times. In a calm and safe environment, without being judged, you might stand a chance not only to learn about yourself more but to try to come to terms with your loss.
My name is Alan Kirby, I am 62 years of age and I am a person-centred counsellor. I specialise exclusively with bereavement counselling.
My private practice is in the town centre of Southport, a 10 minute walk from Southport station, at number 1 Sussex Road, Southport, PR9 0SS. I also offer remote sessions, so you can benefit from a counselling session from the comfort of your own home.
The office is situated on the ground floor with wheel chair access, and off-road parking.
Availability is from 9.30am to 6.00pm from Monday-Friday, and out-of-hours service is available Saturdays & Sundays.
I offer 1-hour sessions (by appointment only), at a cost of £40 each session. Sessions are paid for individually on the day.
